WHAT IS ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR ?

Adobe Illustrator is a professional qulity graphic art program. Its application are diverse from creating print to web graphic. Althought the program is complex and requires a significant amount of time to truly master, it is quite easy to learn the basics and create work with a professional appearance. Designing a poster does not require any special artistic talent or skills, it just requires having the patience to get acquainted with the program. I'm using the Adobe Illustraor CS5.1

WHAT IS ADOBE PHOTOSHOP ?

Adobe Photoshop is a graphics editing program developed and published bu Adobe Systems. Photoshop can create any effect or style needed in a drawing or painting or layout. There are graphic software that can do specialized work faster and more efficient. I'm using the Adobe Photoshop CS5.1

PICTOGRAM

WHAT IS PICTOGRAM ?

A symbol representing an object or concept by illustration
Use picures to represent data
Use in writing and graphic systems in which the characters are to a considerable extent pictorial in appearance

EXAMPLE :

Signs in public places at roads

TUTORIAL :

Open Adobe Illustrator.
File > New > Choose width and height by your own
Open Internet, Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. Type PICTOGRAM > Select Image > Choose Anyone and Copy.
Go back to Adobe Illustrator.
Edit > Paste.
Click Shift and drag the image for perfect enlargement.
Open new layer for a second layer and locked the first layer. Windows > Layers >Create New Layer.
See what shape in the image like a circle, square and so on.
When it is already finish, click Right Click > Group. For easy steps, click CTRL + A (short cut key for Select All) and click CTRL + SHIFT + G (for group all the shapes).
Done with your awesome pictogram :)

Head :

Choose Ellipse Tool (L) for a circle shape. Click Shift and drag a circle for a perfect circle.

Body, Hands and Legs :

Use Rounded Rectangle Tool and matching the size of shape with original image.

Rubbish and Sampah :

Use Rectangle Tool and adjust the length to get same size like original image.
